Born and raised in Colotlán, Jalisco, Mexico. I moved to San Jose, California in 2008. My first formal art class was in 2010 during my first year in high school. Ever since then, I have been in multiple art courses that have given me knowledge in the various fields of art, from basic art introduction to the processes of etching and intaglio printmaking.

Biography

Artist Statement

In the beginning of my artistic career, I worked with graphite and charcoal but transitioned to paint in order to experiment with color. At the moment, colorful and vibrant portraits have caught my attention. This allows me to explore and learn more about color theory and how different colors can evoke different emotions. None of the current works are tied to each other as a series, but rather as experiments were I try to use color to my advantage and create different atmospheres for the pieces.
